Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon appointed former National Assembly member In Jae-geun as the new chairman of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency at his office on the 17th.

In Jae-geun, the new chairman of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, served as a member of the 19th, 20th, and 21st National Assembly, director of the Warm Foundation, and chairman of the Korea Peninsula Foundation for Peace and Coexistence named after Kim Geun-tae.

Considering his legislative experience and achievements in fostering startups and the bio-industry during his time as a National Assembly member, he is regarded as a suitable candidate to lead the agency in driving the economic and scientific development of Gyeonggi Province.

Additionally, his leadership skills, honed as the chairperson of the Administrative and Security Committee and the Women and Family Committee in the 20th National Assembly, as well as chairman of the Korea Peninsula Foundation for Peace and Coexistence named after Kim Geun-tae, are expected to play a significant role in guiding the agency's board decisions as chairman.

New chairman In Jae-geun stated, “I will dedicate myself to ensuring that the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency serves as a true partner in corporate innovation in Gyeonggi Province, a region full of growth opportunities,” and added, “In the rapidly changing domestic and international environment, I will seek directions and strategies in various fields such as startups, R&D, bio-industry, and marketing support to enable the agency and local communities to coexist and continuously grow and innovate.”
