Police Launch Investigation into Threatening Message Targeting Judge Who Dismissed Arrest Review Case

The police have launched an investigation after a post threatening to kill the judge who dismissed the arrest warrant review for President Yoon Seok-yeol appeared online.

On the 17th, the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency received a report of a threatening post to kill Judge So Jun-seop of the Seoul Central District Court and is tracking the authenticity and the author of the post. The case has been assigned to the Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul.

A police official stated, "The IP address of the author and Judge So's residence are unrelated."

The previous day, a post stating "If So Jun-seop (judge) is caught on his way to or from work, he will be beheaded" was uploaded on the online community DC Inside's 'People Power Party Minor Gallery.'

Meanwhile, it is known that Judge So declined police protection measures for his personal safety.
