Man in His 20s Jumps from Motel Balcony... Tests Positive for Drugs
A man in his 20s who caused a commotion by attempting to jump from the railing of a lodging facility in Dong-gu, Gwangju, was found to have used drugs.
The Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 16th that they had arrested a man in his 20s, identified as A, and a man in his 30s, identified as B, on suspicion of drug use (violation of the Narcotics Control Act, etc.).
At around 6:50 a.m. that day, A climbed onto the railing of a motel's fourth floor in Daein-dong, Dong-gu, and shouted "Save me," displaying symptoms suspected to be caused by drug use.
A, who was rescued by firefighters dispatched after receiving a report, appeared incoherent, and two syringes were found in the room where he was staying with B.
It was reported that a preliminary drug test conducted by the police on the two men showed a positive reaction for methamphetamine.
The two admitted to using drugs, and the police plan to investigate the details of the incident further.
