A Man in His 60s Sets Himself on Fire Near Gwacheon Public Corruption Investigation Office... Hospitalized in Critical Condition
On the 15th, when an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk-yeol was executed, a man in his 60s set himself on fire near the Government Complex Gwacheon in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, where the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (PCC) is located, and was transported to a hospital.
According to the police and fire authorities, at around 8:05 PM that day, a man set himself on fire on the lawn next to the civil service parking lot at the Government Complex Gwacheon.
Firefighters extinguished the fire at around 8:21 PM, and the man was transported to the hospital at 8:25 PM, four minutes later. An official stated, "The burns are severe, and his condition is critical."
