View original imageFounded in 1974, the Gyeonggi Northern Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Park Jong-seo) oversees the chambers of commerce of four cities and counties: Yangju, Uijeongbu, Dongducheon, and Yeoncheon, and is the largest economic organization in northern Gyeonggi with about 1,400 member companies.
About 150 people attended the event held on the 14th, including Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju, Deputy Governor Oh Hu-seok, heads of the four cities and counties, and businesspeople from the Gyeonggi Northern Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mayor Kang said, "Last year was full of difficulties due to challenging economic conditions, but I hope that this year, everything you all dream of and hope for will come true."
She continued, "Our city of Yangju has set the top priority of the 2025 municipal administration as revitalizing the local economy through the recovery of the people's livelihood economy," adding, "We will do our best to revitalize the local economy through active support for small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises who are experiencing many difficulties."
