Gurye-gun to Host 'Republic of Korea Pressed Flower Exhibition' Starting July 1
"A Harmonious Encounter of Nature and Art"
Gurye County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 13th that the 24th Korea Pressed Flower Art Exhibition will be held starting from February 1.
The submission period for entries is as follows: International Exhibition from February 1 to 7 (7 days), Domestic Exhibition from March 1 to 10 (10 days), and Preservation Flower Art from March 1 to 5 (5 days).
Anyone who is a pressed flower art enthusiast, both domestically and internationally, can participate. The contest is divided into the Pressed Flower Art category (domestic and international) and the Preservation Flower Art category.
The Domestic Pressed Flower Art Exhibition is divided into three sections: Figurative (landscape, still life), Abstract (design), and Decorative (household items, accessories), encouraging artists to explore a wide range of artistic expressions.
For the International Pressed Flower Art Exhibition and the Preservation Flower Art category, entries can be submitted freely without section divisions.
The maximum number of entries per person is two for the Domestic Pressed Flower Art Exhibition and the Preservation Flower Art category, and three for the International Pressed Flower Art Exhibition.
Artists wishing to participate should submit their works and application forms directly to the Korea Pressed Flower Museum in Gurye County.
Kim Soonho, the county governor, stated, "This Pressed Flower Art Exhibition will be a valuable opportunity to create new artistic value through the harmonious encounter of nature and art," and added, "We hope for the active interest and participation of pressed flower artists."
