The expected precipitation in most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam on this day is 5mm. In the eastern inland regions of Jeonnam, about 1 to 5cm of snow is expected.
The morning's lowest temperatures are forecasted to be: Gokseong -8°C, Jangseong, Damyang, Yeonggwang, Naju, Hwasun -7°C, Hampyeong, Gurye, Yeongam -6°C, Muan, Jangheung -5°C, Gwangju, Haenam, Gangjin, Goheung, Suncheon -4°C, Mokpo, Gwangyang -3°C, Shinan, Wando -2°C, and Jindo -1°C.
The highest daytime temperatures will be similar to the previous day, with Goheung and Wando at 7°C; Shinan, Haenam, Jangheung, Gangjin, Jindo, Yeosu, Gwangyang, Suncheon at 6°C; Gwangju, Hampyeong, Muan, Naju, Mokpo, Yeongam, Boseong, Hwasun, Gurye, Damyang at 5°C; and Yeonggwang, Gokseong, Jakseong at 4°C.
Waves on the sea will reach 0.5 to 1 meter in the coastal waters of the West Sea and South Sea. Fine dust concentrations in both Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to be at a 'moderate' level.
An official from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration said, "As icy roads and black ice are expected on backroads, alleys, sloped roads, and shaded roads due to low temperatures, please pay attention to traffic and pedestrian safety."
