Pohang City to Offer and Manage Diverse and Unique Hometown Love Donation Gifts
On the 10th, Pohang City announced that Kim Myung-hoon, the 33rd president of the Pohang Steel Technical High School Alumni Association, personally visited Pohang from Gwangyang and donated 5 million won to the hometown love donation fund.
President Kim said, "Pohang is a precious city where I spent my youth," and added, "Having served as the 32nd and 33rd president of the Pohang Steel Technical High School Alumni Association, I have connected with the presidents of alumni associations of various high schools in Pohang to contribute to the city's development, and I decided to participate in the hometown love donation."
The Gwangyang Corporation, where President Kim serves as the representative, has established itself as a model company growing together with the local community through sustainable management, having received the highest AAA rating in the 2024 POSCO Partner Company CP Certification Evaluation and being selected as an excellent POSCO supplier (PHP) for 18 consecutive years.
Mayor Lee Kang-deok expressed, "We sincerely thank President Kim Myung-hoon for his warm-hearted donation," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that the Pohang City hometown love donation system continues to grow and becomes a strong pillar for regional development."
Last year, Pohang City successfully closed the year by raising 996.89 million won in donations, greatly exceeding the hometown love donation target of 500 million won.
