The National Gwangju Science Museum participated in a child abuse prevention relay campaign organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Center for the Rights of the Child.
According to the museum on the 10th, this campaign was launched to raise awareness of child abuse and promote positive parenting. Starting with the First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Health and Welfare as the first participant in May, heads of public institutions have joined the campaign, each nominating the next participant. The museum received the baton from the National Marine Science Museum.
As a hub for science culture in the Honam region, the museum welcomes many visitors, including youth, children, and people of all ages, and has prepared a variety of programs related to children.
Director Lee Junggu said, "Preventing child abuse requires the attention and effort of everyone in our society. We will strive to provide child abuse prevention education and promote positive parenting so that children, who are the leaders of the future, can be safely protected from violence and grow up healthy."
