Following this, Chairperson Jeon Eun-hye held the Gwangjin District Council's New Year's ceremony, praying for the souls of those who perished in the passenger plane accident, and stated, "The Gwangjin District Council will prioritize the safety of residents above all, and will do its utmost to cooperate and support disaster recovery and accident prevention."
