Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation and KIND Sign Business Agreement to Promote Overseas Projects Including International Greenhouse Gas Reduction
The Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation (SL Corporation) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) on the 7th to promote investment and development-type overseas projects, including international greenhouse gas reduction projects.
The two organizations agreed to establish a cooperative system to respond to the increasingly severe climate crisis, develop overseas environmental projects, and review equity investments and funding for promising overseas projects.
Following this agreement, SL Corporation is expected to accelerate the promotion of overseas projects, including the installation and operation of greenhouse gas reduction facilities. In 2023, SL Corporation was designated by the Ministry of Environment as the dedicated agency for international greenhouse gas reduction projects and is already carrying out projects overseas to reduce greenhouse gases from landfill facilities.
