Hurim Robot Obtains Robot Supplier Qualification for Global Secondary Battery Manufacturers
Robot manufacturing specialist Hurim Robot announced on the 3rd that it has successfully passed the reliability verification process of a global secondary battery manufacturer and has been registered as a robot supplier.
Through this registration, Hurim Robot has secured the qualification to supply robots to the primary equipment suppliers of the manufacturer, which is expected to have a positive impact on future sales growth.
Hurim Robot prepared the specification registration reliability verification procedure for Cartesian coordinate robots over a period of one year and six months, and finally completed the registration at the end of September last year. This established Hurim Robot as a major company capable of supplying single-axis and multi-axis robots, proving its competitiveness in the global market.
Kim Bong-gwan, CEO of Hurim Robot, stated, “We expect the opportunity to supply robots used in key secondary battery equipment to expand significantly through this registration. In particular, since we acquired EQCell, a secondary battery equipment manufacturer that recorded KRW 95.4 billion in sales and KRW 5.9 billion in operating profit on a separate basis in the third quarter of last year, we have high expectations for the synergy effect.”
