On December 30 last year, two missing crew members from the Seohaeho capsizing accident near Gopado, Palbong-myeon, Seosan-si, Chungnam, were additionally found on the 1st.
The Taean Coast Guard announced that at around 10:04 a.m. that day, two missing persons in a state of cardiac arrest were found near the stern of the capsized vessel. Among the seven crew members on board, six (two rescued, four found in cardiac arrest) have been rescued or found, and the search continues for the remaining one.

A Coast Guard official stated, "We are intensively conducting underwater, maritime, and aerial searches to find the remaining crew member," adding, "The Army's 32nd Division is also supporting the search around the sea and coastline by deploying about 170 personnel, including five teams of the Coastal Mobile Strike Unit, thermal imaging equipment (TOD), and drones."
