Assault on Hospital Staff Blocking Entry
A member of the National Solidarity Against Disability Discrimination (Jeonjangyeon) who attempted to enter Seoul National University Hospital to stage a sit-in protest was arrested by the police on charges of assaulting a hospital staff member.
Seoul Hyehwa Police Station announced on the 31st at around 9 a.m. that they had arrested Lee Gyusik, co-representative of the Seoul Solidarity Against Disability Discrimination, at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the spot.
The co-representative is accused of assaulting a hospital staff member who tried to stop him from entering the interior of Seoul National University Hospital.

Earlier, Jeonjangyeon had announced that starting from the 31st, they would hold a 2-night, 3-day sit-in protest in the hospital lobby, claiming that Seoul National University Hospital did not comply with the mandatory employment system for people with disabilities and failed to guarantee an environment where disabled individuals could receive medical treatment alone.
