Samsung C&T to Build 48-Story Residential Complex on Former KT Tower Site in Mokdong
The former KT Tower site located in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, will be transformed into a residential complex.

View original imageSamsung C&T Corporation's construction division announced on the 30th that it recently signed a contract worth approximately 700 billion KRW with Iconic, the developer, for the construction of a new residential complex in Mok-dong.
This project began when Iconic signed a memorandum of understanding for real estate development with financial investors (FI) in 2019. The development will be built on a 16,416㎡ site at Mok-dong 924, consisting of three residential officetel buildings with 658 units ranging from six basement floors to 48 above-ground floors, along with neighborhood living facilities.
The site is located between Mok-dong Station and Omokgyo Station on Subway Line 5. Within walking distance are Seojeong Elementary School, Mokun Elementary and Middle Schools, and nearby amenities include E-Mart and Hyundai Department Store, providing a variety of lifestyle infrastructures.
Samsung C&T plans to offer differentiated products reflecting consumer needs in the Mok-dong residential complex. The units will consist only of medium to large sizes with exclusive areas of 113㎡ or more, offering various specialized floor plans such as the highly preferred slab-type layout, terrace, and penthouse types.
All units will be oriented mainly southward to secure sunlight and views, and the design will maximize usable space through two- and three-sided open floor plans. The project will apply the Raemian brand and plans to incorporate Next Home technology in future designs.

Meanwhile, Samsung C&T has secured construction rights for urban renewal projects worth approximately 3.6 trillion KRW this year. Including this development project, the total volume secured in the housing business amounts to about 4.3 trillion KRW.
