Dong-Eui University Museum, Grand Prize Winner in 'Educational Donation Career Experience Essay Contest'
Operation of Various Job Experience Programs Such as Curators, Artifact Conservators, and Educators
The Dong-Eui University Museum (Director Kim Hyung-Yeol) received the President's Award, the highest honor from the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at the '2024 Education Donation Career Experience Certified Institution Essay Contest' hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 13th.
The Dong-Eui University Museum was selected for the top prize for its on-site training program titled "Experiencing Museums and Su-gyo (垂敎·手交·手巧)," which allowed elementary and secondary school students to experience various museum professions such as curators, artifact conservation specialists, and educators, and for including the participating students' reflections in the essay.
This essay contest was organized to discover and spread excellent operational cases of certified institutions under the theme of "cases that achieved educational outcomes by providing free career experiences," and to enhance the operation of the Dream Road career experience program. A total of 31 works were awarded, including 2 grand prizes, 4 top prizes, 10 excellence awards, and 15 encouragement awards.
The Dong-Eui University Museum has been operating career experience programs for local youth since 2013 and was selected as an "Education Donation Career Experience Certified Institution" in 2017.
