Yangju-si Secures 2.7 Billion KRW in Special Grants for Second Half of 2024
Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 27th that it has secured a total of 2.7 billion KRW in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The selected projects this time include ▲ Seonam-ri Urban Planning Road (Jung-ro 2-4) Expansion Construction (700 million KRW), ▲ Yangju 1-dong Complex Office Building Construction (800 million KRW), ▲ Installation of Safety Facilities on Gamaksan Sky Road Deck (300 million KRW), ▲ Deokgye-dong Underground Passage Flood Improvement Project (500 million KRW), and ▲ Replacement of Multipurpose (Crime Prevention) Old CCTV and System (400 million KRW), totaling five projects.
The ‘Seonam-ri Urban Planning Road (Jung-ro 2-4) Expansion Construction’ is a project to open an urban planning road (L=560m, B=15m) in the area of 487-2, Seonam-ri, Eunhyeon-myeon within the jurisdiction.
It is scheduled for completion in 2025, and upon completion, it is expected to alleviate traffic inconveniences for road users and contribute to balanced regional development.
Additionally, the ‘Yangju 1-dong Complex Office Building’ will be a future-oriented complex office building combining administrative, business, and resident welfare facilities located around Yangju Station. The city explained that this construction project is expected to improve administrative work efficiency and resident satisfaction, as well as resolve parking issues that local residents have long experienced.
Furthermore, the ‘Installation of Safety Facilities on Gamaksan Sky Road Deck,’ ‘Deokgye-dong Underground Passage Flood Improvement Project,’ and ‘Replacement of Multipurpose (Crime Prevention) Old CCTV and System’ are projects aimed at ensuring citizens’ safety. Through securing disaster safety project funds this time, the city plans to eliminate concerns about safety accidents among residents and thoroughly prevent them.
