Kim Taemyung, Deputy Mayor of Seocho-gu, who was appointed as the Director of Transportation Planning for Seoul City effective January 1, 2025, received a plaque of appreciation from the labor union.
Kim Taemyung was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Seocho-gu from Seoul City on January 1 of last year.
Lee Jongdeok, head of the Seocho-gu branch of the National Public Officials Labor Union, said, "Despite his short tenure of one year, Deputy Mayor Kim Taemyung was highly regarded by all employees for being very rational and honest." On behalf of the union members, the Seocho-gu branch presented a plaque of appreciation and a bouquet of flowers to express gratitude for his outstanding abilities and efforts to foster organizational harmony during his public service.
It is very unusual for the labor union to present a plaque of appreciation to the Deputy Mayor. However, Deputy Mayor Kim Taemyung was recognized for his consideration toward employees and his dedication and efforts toward organizational change, leading to the decision to present the plaque.
He also said, "All union members regret the Deputy Mayor’s transfer and support his new start."
