Busan Gijang-gun Hosts 'Children's Classroom' Learning with the Sea
Gijang-gun Marine Resources Research Center, Recruiting Students for 'Marine Fisheries Experience and Education Program Winter Vacation Special Lecture'
Busan Gijang-gun will hold a "Winter Vacation Marine and Fisheries Experience and Education Program Special Lecture" at the Gun Fisheries Resources Research Center for one month in January 2025.
The "Winter Vacation Marine and Fisheries Experience and Education Program" is an educational program for children operated by the Fisheries Resources Research Center since 2019. It was launched to provide various educational services related to the marine and fisheries field to children on vacation, creating an opportunity for them to become familiar with the sea.
This program will be held for local elementary school students from January 2 to January 31, 2025, three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday) for a total of 24 sessions.
Professional instructors affiliated with the Gijang Craft Association will participate, offering a total of nine diverse courses including ▲ making your own pendant with mother-of-pearl ▲ making a sea jewelry box with swimming fish ▲ making a pencil holder with underwater scenery images, among others.
The program is free of charge, and participants only need to pay a material fee of 5,000 KRW per session to attend classes operated by professional instructors.
Participation in the program can be applied for online on a first-come, first-served basis through the Gijang-gun Fisheries Resources Research Center website until the day before the class. For other inquiries related to the program, contact the Fisheries Resources Research Center.
