The Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s National Happiness Civil Service Office certification system evaluates excellent institutions by assessing 24 items across four areas: △internal and external environment of the civil service office △civil service processing status △civil service experience and satisfaction, targeting local governments, education offices, and special local administrative agencies nationwide. The certification period is three years. Through this certification, the city maintains its qualification until 2027.
Yangju City succeeded in its first re-certification this year by receiving high evaluations in the assessment following its initial certification in 2021.
To achieve re-certification, Yangju City provided customized civil service by △installing consultation spaces within the civil service office △strengthening protection for civil service officials △creating a pleasant civil service office environment △operating National Happiness Helpers △and implementing Gyeonggi Province’s first foreign language support unmanned civil service issuance machine service, making various efforts to enhance citizen convenience.
