BPA Supports Employment for Youth in Port-Related Industries in Busan and Gyeongnam
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) will carry out a project to support the employment of young people in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions in industries related to Busan Port.
This project will proceed by matching local youth who want to find jobs with related industries to support their hiring.
First, applications will be accepted from related businesses wishing to participate in this project until January 31, 2025, and then applications from local youth will be accepted according to the hiring scale desired by the companies.
The employment support targets are local youth aged 18 to 34, including ▲youths scheduled to leave protective care ▲youth preparing for independence ▲North Korean defectors ▲second-generation multicultural families ▲people with disabilities ▲and national veterans.
BPA plans to provide employment competency enhancement education for job-seeking youth, such as acquiring industry-specific certifications, writing self-introduction letters, and interview speech training.
Additionally, BPA will actively facilitate employment by providing job information to youth and Busan Port-related industries and holding job matching days.
Through this project, employment incentives and congratulatory payments will be given to local youth and related industries that achieve employment matching.
BPA expects that this project, which was selected in the 7th Public Coexistence Solidarity Contest organized by the Public Coexistence Solidarity Fund, will help socially disadvantaged youth find jobs and create local employment opportunities.
