"Come See the Sunrise" Hanam City Opens Union Tower Observatory on New Year's Day
Hanhae Opens at 7 AM, 2 Hours Earlier Than Usual
Gyeonggi Hanam City (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 26th that the Union Tower Observatory, a famous sunrise spot, will open at 7 a.m., two hours earlier than usual, on January 1st only, for citizens who want to watch the first sunrise of the 2025 Eulsa Year (乙巳年).
Hanam Union Tower, with its 105-meter-high observatory, offers a panoramic view of the Han River, Misa Rowing Park, Geomdansan Mountain, Iseong Fortress, and other beautiful landscapes, making it a popular sunrise viewing spot for many citizens.
The first sunrise of the new year is scheduled for 7:45 a.m., and Hanam City will distribute numbered tickets on a first-come, first-served basis to a total of 200 people?100 each for the 3rd and 4th floors?allowing them to access the Union Tower Observatory. Citizens who receive the numbered tickets can use the designated elevators to move to the 3rd and 4th floors.
