Kwangju Bank Wins Grand Prize at 'i-Awards Korea'

Gwangju Bank recently won the grand prize in both the Mobile Finance Innovation category and the Smart App Award in the Banking category at the "i-AWARDS KOREA 2024" hosted by the Korea Internet Professionals Association. Provided by Gwangju Bank
Now in its 21st year, the "i-AWARDS KOREA 2024" is the most prestigious awards ceremony in Korea, where a panel of over 4,000 internet experts and specialized professors evaluates the most innovative and outstanding internet services of the year. The evaluation is based on 18 criteria across six areas: technology, UX/UI, content, service, design, and marketing.
Gwangju Bank (President Ko Byungil) announced on the 26th that it recently received the Grand Prize in both the Mobile Financial Innovation category and the Smart App Award Bank category at the 'i-AWARDS KOREA 2024', hosted by the Korea Internet Professionals Association.
Celebrating its 21st anniversary this year, 'i-AWARDS KOREA 2024' is the most prestigious awards ceremony in Korea, where a panel of over 4,000 leading internet professionals and expert professors selects and honors the most innovative and outstanding internet services of the year based on 18 evaluation criteria across six areas: technology, UX/UI, content, service, design, and marketing.
Gwangju Bank won the Mobile Financial Innovation Grand Prize for the continuous growth and user-friendly updates of its 'Mobile Web Finance (WEB)'. The 'Gwangju Bank Mobile Web Finance' service allows users to sign up for products without logging in, features a home screen centered on frequently used menus, improved UX/UI convenience, and faster transaction speeds, all contributing to its growth through user-centered updates.
The evaluation panel also highly praised the intuitive UI, outstanding and visually clear design, streamlined processes, and the excellence of content such as branch number issuance and fax/email services.
In the Smart App Award Bank category, 'Gwangju WaBank (APP)' was honored with the prize. 'Gwangju WaBank' allows customers to directly set up frequently used accounts, cards, and menus for quick access, and provides practical assistance in asset management through its MyData service.
The evaluation panel gave high marks to 'Gwangju WaBank' for its intuitive and clean design, services tailored to the characteristics of a regional bank, and differentiated content such as Easy Banking, Health Tab, and Game Service.
