A 'flight testbed' for testing the performance of military and commercial drones has opened along the Cheongmicheon River in Janghowon-eup, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do.
On the 24th, Icheon City held an opening ceremony for the 'flight testbed' for drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles, attended by Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon, Park Myung-seo, Chairman of the Icheon City Council, and Ji Won-jeong, Commander of the Army Intelligence School, and announced on the 26th that it has officially begun operations.

This facility was established in cooperation with the Army Intelligence School. The city plans to operate the facility by accepting applications from companies and military units seeking demonstration and technological development of unmanned aerial vehicles.
