Yeongju City Selects 2025 New Year's Theme 'Bulyo Inhwa'
‘Bulyeoinhwa’ Cooperation and Harmony for a Society Growing Together
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk has selected "Bulyeoinhwa (不如人和)" as the New Year's theme for 2025, the Year of the Blue Snake, Eulsan Year (乙巳年).
Bulyeoinhwa (不如人和) means "There is nothing better than harmony among people to succeed in work," conveying the message of overcoming internal and external difficulties and achieving success by uniting strength through cooperation and harmony.
Mayor Park Nam-seo said, "Whenever we face difficulties and challenges, we will overcome obstacles and move forward without stopping based on the power of citizens and the trust of public officials," adding, "We will establish a culture of harmony and cooperation to create a Yeongju where everyone can grow together."
In 2024, Yeongju City strengthened its infrastructure by completing the Manufacturing Support Center, a core facility of the High-Tech Bearing Technology Center, the only bearing-specialized research institution in Korea, enabling full-cycle support for the bearing industry nationwide, and actively promoted the attraction of companies to the Yeongju Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex.
Additionally, by being selected for the Regional Vitality Town creation project, Yeongju laid the groundwork to respond to the crisis of regional extinction, achieved notable improvements in the region’s economic, cultural, and residential conditions through designation as the second pilot area of the Education Development Special Zone, and the opening of the Maguryeong Tunnel.
