China Grants Service Licenses for 13 Overseas Online Games
Chinese authorities have approved an additional 13 overseas online games.
On the 24th, the National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA), which oversees the gaming sector in China, announced that it had issued licenses (版號, game service permits within China) for 13 foreign games the previous day.
As a result, the total number of overseas games licensed in China has reached 110.
The list of foreign games granted licenses this time includes "Daehanghae Sidae Legend," "Monster Hunter: Traveler," and "Asphalt 8: Airborne," among others.
Additionally, Chinese authorities announced that they have also approved 122 domestic games.
China issues domestic licenses to games developed by local companies after review, and foreign licenses to games from overseas developers.
