"Fairy Tale-like Winter Night" Danyang Santa Festival Opens with Splendor
"Jungang-ro 56, Invitation to Magic" Theme
Various Events Including Street Parade Until the 25th
The 6th Damyang Santa Festival kicked off in spectacular fashion on the 24th with an opening parade.
Held under the theme "56 Jungang-ro, An Invitation to Winter Magic," the Damyang Santa Festival offers visitors a unique winter experience in the Jungang-ro area of Damyang-eup until the 25th. "56 Jungang-ro" refers to the street address where the main stage is set up, making it easy for tourists to find the festival venue by simply searching for this address.
This year, the main festival site on Jungang-ro in Damyang-eup is operated as a "car-free Santa Street." The Santa Street is divided into four zones, giving visitors the chance to experience a variety of winter scenes. Encounters with Santa, character parades, and various street performances further enhance the festive atmosphere.
Over the two days, busking, magic shows, prize draws, and quiz events are scheduled, and from 8 p.m., celebration performances by Ulala Session, Kim Dana, and an a cappella team will take place to mark the opening.
On Christmas Day, the 25th, celebratory performances by singers Hong Kyungmin and Eun Soohyeong will be held from 5:30 p.m. Various night photo zones are set up throughout the festival grounds for visitors to capture special moments, and there are also flea markets and food stalls offering local specialties for everyone to enjoy.
County Governor Lee Byungno said, "I hope you enjoy a special winter in Damyang with your family and friends this Christmas," encouraging many to participate and show their interest.
