Air Incheon Appoints Kim Gwansik, Former Kumho Asiana CFO, as New CEO

Financial Expert with 25 Years at Kumho Group
Kim Gwan-sik, former Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from Kumho Asiana Group, has been appointed as the new CEO of Air Incheon.
According to industry sources on the 24th, Air Incheon announced that Kim was appointed as the new CEO on the 11th.
Born in 1968, Kim graduated from Jeonbuk National University with a degree in Business Administration in 1991 and joined Kumho Tire in 1993. He has held various positions including CFO of Kumho Asiana Group’s Strategic Management Headquarters, CFO of Kumho Tire’s U.S. subsidiary, Head of Kumho Tire’s Accounting Team, and CFO of Kumho Tire’s China subsidiary.
After serving as CFO of HSD Engine (now Hanwha Engine) in 2018, he completed his term in February of this year. Last month, he was appointed Senior Vice President of Air Incheon upon the recommendation of Socios Private Equity, the largest shareholder of Air Incheon.

Meanwhile, Air Incheon, which took over Asiana Airlines’ cargo division, plans to sign the main contract on the 16th of next month and launch the integrated Air Incheon on July 1st next year. To this end, since the 16th, a joint task force (TF) for the integration of Air Incheon and Asiana Cargo has been formed to carry out related preparations.
