This Practical Agricultural Education was conducted as a touring education program across 8 eup, myeon, and dong districts. The education content included a special lecture by the mayor, who gave a lecture relating Yeoju’s agricultural policies and the future direction the city should take.
Additionally, the program included lectures introducing cultivation methods for producing high-quality Yeoju rice and pilot projects to be promoted in 2025, which further increased the positive response.
During the education, there was a resolution time to pledge for a bountiful harvest next year, where participants shouted “The nation’s only rice industry special zone, producing the highest quality Yeoju rice,” engraving pride in Yeoju rice and encouraging each other, making the education even more special.
Park Jung-ha, Director of the Yeoju Agricultural Technology Center, said, “This was an education with high voluntary participation and concentration from Yeoju citizens. As we held the resolution time, I hope all farmers in Yeoju will have a bountiful harvest next year, and we will continue to strive to open educational courses that meet demands to help increase farm income and contribute to the development of Yeoju agriculture.”
