Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 24th that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 'Hanam City Children's Center' on the 23rd at the site of Misa Senior Welfare Center (100 Misagangbyeon-daero).

View original imageThe Hanam City Children's Center is planned to open in 2026, with a total project cost of 29.1 billion KRW. It will be expanded on a site area of 1,225㎡ within the 5,269㎡ Misa Senior Welfare Center site, with a total floor area of 4,452.94㎡, consisting of two basement floors and five above-ground floors.
Detailed facilities will include a public kids cafe, indoor playground, exhibition space, and a complex play-centered area such as a play experience room and rooftop outdoor futsal field. These are designed to support the autonomous physical development, emotional cultivation, and creativity development of infants and children.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae stated, “Hanam City plans to prepare insufficient children-only facilities by first converting the entire first floor of the Misa Senior Welfare Center into a children-only facility, scheduled to open in January next year.” He added, “In the second phase, we will build the Children's Center to create a 'Child-Friendly City Hanam' that can support the dreams of growing children.”
