Now in its 9th year, the Trade Technical Barriers (TBT) Thesis Contest is held to explore response strategies for Korean export companies against intensifying overseas technical regulations and to expand the research base.
In her award-winning thesis, Nam Yeji analyzed the impact of the introduction of TBT norms on global supply chains and demonstrated that it can enhance supply chain stability, earning high praise.
Notably, she previously participated in this contest as part of a team in 2023 and won the grand prize with the thesis "The Impact of Harmonization of TBT Norms on Trade," making her achievement of winning the grand prize two years in a row particularly remarkable.
Professor Yoo Jung-ho of the Department of International Trade, her advisor, stated, "As the international trade environment rapidly changes, the government's demand for training international trade experts knowledgeable in trade technical barriers and trade security is steadily increasing. With various government supports leading to students' award achievements, we will continue active support and innovation to nurture global international trade talents."
