The Sustainable Development Council of Sacheon City, Gyeongnam, announced on the 23rd that it held the ‘Sacheon City 2024 Sustainable Development Council Performance Sharing Meeting’ at the city hall’s main conference room.
The event was attended by the Sacheon City Residents’ Autonomy Association, Sacheon City Nature Conservation Council, Sacheon City Daycare Center Federation, local high schools, and others who participated in the Sustainable Development Council’s practical projects, sharing cooperation and achievements together.
They shared the results and achievements of projects carried out throughout the year, including the operation of the ‘Ppeonppeon Market,’ marine ecosystem education programs, bicycle safety classes, and the Sustainable Development Challenge Golden Bell.

The ‘Ppeonppeon Market,’ directly participated in by local residents, contributed to spreading a culture of resource recycling and sharing, while the marine ecosystem education emphasizing the importance of the marine environment received great responses from young children and students, the future generations.
Additionally, the bicycle safety class established itself as a program to strengthen children’s traffic safety, and the Sustainable Development Challenge Golden Bell was evaluated as providing an opportunity to learn about sustainable development.
