Yeongju-si Selected as an 'Excellent Local Government' for Organizational and Workforce Operation Efficiency
Secured 100 Million Won in Special Grants... Strengthening Administrative Services through Efficient Organizational Management
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk was selected as an excellent local government in the evaluation of organizational and personnel operation efficiency conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a special grant of 100 million won.
This evaluation focused on whether local governments responded to new administrative demands through personnel reallocation instead of increasing staff and achieved results through autonomous efforts in organizational management.
Yeongju City actively reorganized its organization to improve efficiency by boldly reducing common and declining functions such as general administrative support tasks and integrating similar and overlapping functions. Through this, it was evaluated that the city promoted local issue projects and secured the necessary personnel for new administrative demands, thereby strengthening its administrative capabilities.
Mayor Park Nam-seo said, “Efficient organizational management leads to improved quality of administrative services for citizens,” and added, “We will manage personnel operations systematically and strive harder to make the city a better place to live for our citizens.”
