Busan Port Authority Conducts Safety Inspections at Construction Sites in Preparation for Winter
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) will conduct safety inspections of 28 construction sites within Busan Port by the 20th in preparation for the winter season.
During winter, the drop in temperature can slow down workers' physical activities and ground freezing can threaten the safety of construction sites, making thorough inspections and preventive measures necessary.
BPA plans to form a joint inspection team with external experts to focus on checking compliance with safety rules at construction sites, the presence of snow removal equipment and calcium chloride for slip prevention, and the hazardous conditions of facilities.
Issues identified during this inspection that can be corrected on-site will be addressed immediately, and for serious defects, countermeasures will be established and budgets allocated to ensure prompt improvements.
