Seosan City Receives Grade 2 in Comprehensive Integrity Assessment of Public Institutions
One Level Up from Last Year... Record High in Integrity Efforts
On the 19th, Seosan City in Chungnam Province achieved a Grade 2 rating, one level higher than last year, in the "2024 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment of Public Institutions" organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
The assessment evaluates 462 public institutions nationwide, measuring two indicators: perceived integrity and integrity efforts, and calculates a comprehensive integrity score. The results are divided into five grades, from Grade 1 to Grade 5.
The city scored 2.9 points higher than the national city average in perceived integrity and 10.3 points higher in integrity efforts. Its comprehensive integrity score was 84.3 points, 6.8 points above the average.
The internal and external perception indicators that make up perceived integrity were 4.0 and 2.5 points higher than the national city average, respectively, with particularly good scores in work transparency and prevention of abuse of power.
Notably, in the integrity efforts category, which evaluates the institution's efforts to improve integrity, the city received its highest-ever score of 93.7 points, reflecting the success of various initiatives to build trustworthy administration for citizens.
Seosan Mayor Lee Wanseop stated, "This achievement is the result of cooperation between public officials and the 180,000 citizens of Seosan to build an honest city and trustworthy administration," adding, "We will continue to do our best to implement various initiatives with the goal of achieving Grade 1 in comprehensive integrity."
