Namyangju City Welfare Foundation Hosts 'Namyangju City Supporters' Day' to Give Back Through Sharing

View original imageHosted by the Namyangju City Welfare Foundation, 'Namyangju City Supporters' Day' is an annual event held every December to express gratitude to sponsors who have consistently practiced sharing for neighbors in need within the community and to encourage the spread of a culture of sharing.
The event was attended by about 80 people, including sponsors, Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju City, Vice Chairman Lee Jeong-ae of the Namyangju City Council, and Lee Kyung-ah, Head of the Gyeonggi Northern Community Chest of Korea, and proceeded in the order of △pre-event performance △awards ceremony △banquet.
At the awards ceremony, commendations were presented to a total of 22 people, including △Namyangju City Mayor's Award (10 people) △Namyangju City Council Chairman's Award (5 people) △Gyeonggi Province Governor's Award (2 people) △Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest Chairman's Award (5 people).
Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said, "I sincerely thank all the sponsors who have practiced warm sharing for neighbors despite difficult circumstances," and added, "Namyangju City will also do its best to carefully look after neighbors in need and to further activate the culture of sharing within the local community."
