Korean Journalists Association Donates 10 Million Won to Community Chest of Korea
On the 17th, the Korea Journalists Association donated 10 million won in neighborly love funds to the Community Chest of Korea. The donation ceremony, held at the Sarangui Yeolmae Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by Park Jong-hyun, president of the Korea Journalists Association, along with association and secretariat executives, Kim Byung-joon, chairman of Sarangui Yeolmae, and Hwang In-sik, secretary general.
President Park Jong-hyun said, "In these difficult times, the media must fulfill its duty to give hope to marginalized neighbors and strive to spread the culture of donation." Chairman Kim Byung-joon stated, "We ask for the media professionals' great interest and participation in spreading the social value of sharing."
The Korea Journalists Association is the largest media organization in South Korea, with 12,500 active reporters from nationwide newspapers, broadcasting, communications, and internet media as members. Since 2012, it has been delivering neighborly love funds every year.
