Gwangju City to Select Participants for 2025 Winter University Student Job Program
Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 17th that 34 participants for the 2025 Winter University Student Job DREAM-UP program were selected through a random computerized draw on the 13th.
The 34 university student job participants selected this time will start with an orientation on January 6, 2025, followed by education on "Labor Law, How to Write Employment Contracts, and Labor Rights" from a certified labor attorney of Gwangju City, and a special youth employment lecture titled "Understanding Workplace Communication Correctly" by an external expert lecturer.
Additionally, there will be a tour of the Youth Support Center facilities, which is a youth space, provision of employment-related information, explanations of various youth support policies, and experiential programs.
The university student job participants will be assigned to various departments such as the city hall, eup/myeon/dong offices, and the municipal library, where they will experience administrative work on-site at public institutions for four weeks, helping them adapt to social life and explore various career paths.
In particular, this time, 9 university students will be concentratedly assigned to local Together Care Centers that support child services among socially vulnerable groups requiring social care, which is expected to greatly assist with educational support and the issue of care gaps.
