Arrest of Gwak Jong-geun, Army Special Warfare Command Commander, over 'Parliamentary Troop Deployment'
Gwak Jong-geun, Commander of the Army Special Warfare Command, who is accused of conspiring with President Yoon Seok-yeol to incite a rebellion, has been arrested.
The Special Investigation Headquarters for Emergency Martial Law of the prosecution announced today (16th) that the military court issued an arrest warrant for Commander Gwak, who is charged with engaging in important tasks related to rebellion.
Commander Gwak is accused of conspiring with President Yoon Seok-yeol, former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, and Commander of the ROK Military Counterintelligence Agency Yeo In-hyung to incite a riot aimed at disrupting the constitutional order.

Previously, Commander Gwak revealed that he received orders from President Yoon at the National Assembly saying, "(The quorum for the National Assembly members to vote on lifting martial law) does not seem to have been met yet.
