Democratic Party: "Speed Up Legislation to Revitalize Domestic Demand... People's Livelihood Economy Is in Crisis"
Democratic Party Meeting After Yoon Impeachment Bill Passed
Park Chandae: "We Must Pass Laws to Relieve Small Business Owners"
Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated two days after the passage of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol, "Now the National Assembly, especially the Democratic Party as the largest party in the National Assembly, bears heavy responsibility," and emphasized, "Legislation to restore the livelihood economy must be swiftly pursued."
At the Democratic Party members' meeting held at the National Assembly on the afternoon of the 16th, Floor Leader Park said, "Although the impeachment motion against President Yoon has passed, there are numerous issues that need to be resolved," adding, "First, through the 'Special Investigation Act on the Rebellion' and the 'Special Investigation Act on Kim Geon-hee,' we must clearly uncover the truth about the rebellion, severely punish those responsible, and reveal the actual situation of stock price manipulation involving Mrs. Kim." With the responsibility for the impeachment motion having moved from the National Assembly to the Constitutional Court, this indicates an intention to proceed with investigations related to the December 3 emergency martial law incident through the appointment of a special prosecutor.

He stated, "We must devote ourselves to restoring the livelihood economy that has fallen to rock bottom," and added, "The livelihood economy, already on the brink, has fallen into a deep quagmire due to the December 3 emergency martial law incident." He continued, "With various year-end parties decreasing and expenditures reduced, the pain of small business owners and self-employed individuals is very severe," and insisted, "Livelihood-related legislation must be swiftly advanced." Furthermore, he said, "In particular, 'domestic demand revitalization legislation' that breathes new life into small business owners must be processed quickly."
