According to the county on the 16th, next year's main budget was finalized at 612.4 billion KRW, consisting of 593.7 billion KRW in the general account and 18.7 billion KRW in the special account. This represents an increase of 12.3 billion KRW (2.05%) compared to this year.
The county had to cope with budget cuts due to a decrease in local allocation tax caused by two consecutive years of national tax deficits, but through efforts secured 238.6 billion KRW in national and provincial subsidies, which is 9 billion KRW more than this year.

Major projects include flood and wind disaster living area maintenance, expansion of sports facilities in Namak New Town, development of Doripo as a tourist scenic spot, support for new and renewable energy convergence, Matteul Muan integrated food platform project, revitalization of fishing villages, creation of advanced agricultural complex, support for senior citizen jobs and social activities, and issuance and operation of local currency.
