Korean Teachers' Credit Union Donates 64,000 Briquettes of Love
The Korea Teachers' Credit Union announced on the 16th that it conducted a 'Love Briquette Sharing Volunteer Activity' on the 13th to support vulnerable groups in the local community for a warm winter.
Including 25 new employees, the Credit Union staff carried out the briquette sharing volunteer activity in Jeonggeum Village, Dongjak-gu, Seoul. The staff personally delivered about 2,000 briquettes to vulnerable households, bringing warm comfort to neighbors facing the cold winter.
Including the briquettes delivered that day, the Credit Union donated approximately 64,000 briquettes to neighbors in need during the winter season in Seoul and the metropolitan area.
Jung Gap-yoon, Chairman of the Korea Teachers' Credit Union, said, "This briquette sharing volunteer activity was especially meaningful as new employees participated together," adding, "I hope this will be a valuable opportunity for new employees to practice social responsibility and learn the value of sharing." He also stated, "The Credit Union will continue to support and strive to help vulnerable residents in the local community have a warm winter."
