Establishment of a Two-Way Video Platform Between the Korea Senior Citizens Association Uijeongbu Branch and Senior Centers
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 16th that on the 13th, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Senior Citizens Association ICT Project Group (Representative Kwon Jang-wook, hereinafter referred to as the Project Group) to establish a two-way video conferencing platform between the Korea Senior Citizens Association Uijeongbu Branch and senior centers.

View original imageThis agreement was made to bridge the information gap between generations and to promote social participation and communication among the elderly through senior centers.
According to the agreement, the Project Group will install 65-inch smart TVs, webcams, controllers, and other equipment to build a two-way communication platform in senior centers within the city. After a pilot operation period, official operation will begin in June next year.
Through this, elderly people at senior centers will be able to easily attend leisure programs and health lectures online. Real-time communication between senior centers and the Korea Senior Citizens Association Uijeongbu Branch will also become possible.
In particular, the Project Group plans to provide regular platform usage training to senior center managers and the elderly, and ensure smooth service delivery through continuous technical support.
