View original imageAs Seosan City in Chungnam holds the "Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign Intensive Fundraising Event" for the year-end and New Year season, citizens continue to participate in acts of warmth and generosity.
The Hope Sharing Campaign is a donation campaign organized by the Community Chest of Korea, running for a total of 62 days from December 1 each year to January 31 of the following year.
On the 12th, the city held the Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign Intensive Fundraising Event at the small theater of the Seosan City Culture Center, hosted by the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea.
About 200 people, including Seosan Mayor Lee Wan-seop, Seosan City Council Chair Cho Dong-sik, Chungnam Community Chest of Korea Chairman Sung Woo-jong, and citizens who joined to share warmth, participated in the event, further fueling the fundraising enthusiasm.
Mayor Lee Wan-seop, who donated 1 million won, along with various local businesses, organizations, and citizens from all walks of life, took part in the fundraising, resulting in a total of about 250 million won in donations collected that day.

View original imageIn addition, from December 2 in Dongmun 1-dong to December 11 in Inji-myeon, Palbong-myeon, and Haemi-myeon, a total of 880 million won was raised through intensive fundraising events held in 15 towns and districts.
Meanwhile, Seosan City is conducting the campaign under the theme "Make Yourself Valuable through Giving, Make Seosan Valuable through Giving!" with a goal of raising 1.7 billion won.
Those wishing to participate in the campaign can join through the Seosan City Department of Social Welfare and local administrative welfare centers, and all donations collected will be used to help neighbors in need.
Mayor Lee Wan-seop said, "Everyone is going through difficult times, and this is when the helping hand of sharing is most needed. I hope many people will join in spreading warmth throughout our community by thinking of those who are less fortunate than themselves."
