On the 14th, Park Jong-hoon, Superintendent of Education of Gyeongnam, stated this on his social networking service (SNS) immediately after the passage of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol.
Superintendent Park said, "The impeachment motion against President Yoon, which was proposed on the 12th, was passed at today's plenary session of the National Assembly," adding, "This will be another test for our democracy."
He said, "Despite the political instability throughout society, our education has steadfastly fulfilled its role," and "I especially thank all the faculty and staff who have done their best in their respective positions."

View original imageHe continued, "The situation is not yet stable," emphasizing, "All faculty and staff, including myself, will remain unwavering and devote ourselves to student education so that no external influence affects the operation of school curricula and educational activities."
"With a special heart, we will closely monitor school sites and spare no administrative or financial support to maintain a stable educational environment," he also said.
He added, "We will do our best to nurture democratic citizens who will be responsible for the future of this society so that the precious experience of democratic history can be passed on to school education."
