Dongducheon-si Awarded 'Excellence Prize' in 2024 Corporate SOS Awards Evaluation
Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 13th that it received the 'Excellence Award' at the '2024 Corporate SOS Awards' evaluation conducted by Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Province annually awards outstanding cities and counties that have contributed to resolving corporate difficulties and creating a business-friendly environment through the 'Corporate SOS Awards' evaluation targeting 31 cities and counties within the province.
This year's evaluation criteria included seven areas: ▲interest of the head of the institution ▲budget support ▲handling of corporate difficulties ▲improvement of corporate regulations ▲publicity performance ▲improvement compared to the previous year ▲implementation of business-friendly policies. The province divided cities and counties into four groups?A, B, C, and D?based on the number of factory registrations, and Dongducheon City received the highest score in Group D.
Meanwhile, Dongducheon City formed a Corporate SOS Support Team and frequently visited sites to listen to the immediate difficulties faced by companies due to domestic and international economic downturns and sought ways to resolve regulations.
Additionally, to help companies secure stable operating funds, the city promoted special guarantees for small and medium-sized enterprises and fostered fund projects, and implemented various support programs to respond to rapid changes in the industrial environment.
In particular, the project supporting the modernization of aging production facilities received a perfect score in the qualitative evaluation section and was selected as a model case for business-friendly policies.
