Samsung Asset Management's FunETF Wins Grand Prize for Best App at 'Smart App Awards Korea 2024'
Samsung Asset Management announced on the 13th that its fund platform ‘FunETF’ won the ‘Smart App Grand Prize’ at the ‘Smart App Awards Korea 2024’.
Now in its 15th year, the Smart App Awards Korea 2024 is the most prestigious mobile app awards ceremony in South Korea, hosted by the Korea Internet Professionals Association under the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the i-Awards Committee. A total of 135 companies participated across 12 fields in 5 categories, registering 75 smart apps. The judging panel, composed of about 4,000 internet experts in Korea, selected the most innovative and outstanding mobile apps of the year.
Samsung Asset Management’s fund platform FunETF received the highest evaluation based on 18 evaluation criteria across 6 categories including visual design, UI design, technology, content, service, and marketing, earning the top rank in the app category and winning the ‘Smart App Grand Prize’.
In August, Samsung Asset Management fully renewed its existing fund platform and launched the newly enhanced FunETF, significantly strengthening various functions and content for investors. FunETF is a compound word of ‘Fund’ and ‘ETF’, designed to allow anyone easy access to information on all domestic ETFs and mutual funds. It is characterized by not only providing individual product information but also enhancing features that enable investors to compare ETF and fund products themselves and build portfolios.
Users can search all domestic ETF/fund products, including KODEX ETFs, and check major U.S. indices such as the S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow Jones, and Russell 2000 in real time. Using the ‘ETF/Fund Filter Search’, users can combine over 150 major keyword filters to conduct customized searches. The ‘Find ETFs by Constituent Stocks’ feature allows users to search for ETFs investing in specific stocks, which is useful for finding ETFs with high allocations to stocks currently attracting market attention. Through the ‘ETF/Fund Product Comparison’ feature, users can select up to five products simultaneously to compare their performance at a glance.
A Samsung Asset Management official said, “We conducted a major renewal based on feedback from various users while operating the existing fund platform service. You can conveniently use differentiated information and comparison functions for various ETFs, including the low-cost KODEX US S&P 500 TR ETF, on FunETF.”
