This campaign was carried out to encourage citizens to save energy ahead of the surge in energy demand caused by the onset of severe cold weather. At Seoul Station, where there is a high flow of people, citizens were informed about winter energy-saving practices such as ▲maintaining an indoor temperature of 20℃ ▲reducing heat loss through gaps using bubble wrap (air cap) and curtains ▲using winter protection items like thermal underwear, cardigans, and knee blankets ▲lowering the temperature of electric heating pads by one level. Winter protection items were also distributed to encourage participation in energy saving.
In addition, the Energy Agency is conducting promotional activities to encourage energy saving among the public by continuously promoting the 'Temperature Attention Campaign,' which complies with the appropriate indoor temperatures (20℃ for heating in winter and 26℃ for cooling in summer), through collaboration with related organizations, associations, and franchises.
