Police Special Investigation Unit Conducts Search and Seizure at Presidential Office and National Assembly Security Unit
The police have launched a forced investigation into the Presidential Office, the National Police Agency, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and the National Assembly Security Service.
The Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency announced on the 11th that it has begun raids and seizures at the Presidential Office, the National Police Agency, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and the National Assembly Security Service.
Currently, Police Commissioner General Jo Ji-ho and Seoul Police Commissioner Kim Bong-sik have been urgently arrested on charges of insurrection, with Deputy Commissioner General Lee Ho-young and Deputy Commissioner for Public Safety Choi Hyun-seok acting as their respective deputies.
On the same day, the National Police Agency held a nationwide video conference of police commanders, stating that they will devote themselves to their duties to establish public safety. Regarding the emergency martial law case, they said they will conduct a thorough investigation centered on the Special Investigation Unit of the National Investigation Headquarters to leave no suspicion of concealment.
