View original imagePaju City conducts the 'Walking the Travel Path (a path where women and citizens are happy)' activity every Tuesday to build public consensus on the closure of prostitution districts and to promote a culture of gender equality.
On this day, 24 executives and employees of the Paju Shared Economy Network attended the event, which began with education on eradicating prostitution and raising awareness at the Yeonpung-ri Cultural Theater, followed by walking around the prostitution district together.
Yoon Kyung-ja, Chairperson of the Paju Shared Economy Network, who participated in the activity, said, "Through the education, I realized the seriousness of the safety issues and human rights violations caused by prostitution to residents, and by walking the district together, we had a chance to empathize with the necessity of its closure. I will strive to participate in various activities and campaigns for the closure of prostitution districts next year as well."
